Bakery

Tia, the director of Fundacion Hogar de Ninos Huerfanos, the orphanage in Jaibon, Dominican Republic, has a love for baking as well as her passionate desire to care for, to guide, and to raise up each child that God brings to her.  Her vision is to establish a vocational program that provides her children the opportunity to learn business and life skills.  At one time they had a large industrial oven at the orphanage and were able to bake pizzas for themselves and for guests.  Since then, it has been Tia’s desire to have a bakery at the orphanage.  Koinoneo is working to bring this dream to fruition.  Not only will this bakery provide life and business skills to the children, but it will also provide food for the orphanage. It is our hope that eventually, the bakery will be able to provide bread for the community and become a bridge between the children and the community of Jaibon.
